Fancy Hats - LIM Challenge #56

Hello everyone...I'm back again with my 2nd card for today.
Chrissie and Mandi  at Less Is More have challenged us to make a card from our scraps this week.
I have a bag at the side of my craft desk where I throw all my small bits and pieces of card and paper.  Before I took it to recycle, I pulled out four tiny off cuts and stamped my four ladies.  The stamp set is called 'Fancy Hats' from the quatros range by Hero Arts.  These stamps are only 1" square and I haven't used them for years. I'm sure that they are now discontinued. I coloured with PM's then cut around them with the smallest die from Spellbinders Fleur De Lis set of dies, and mounted them onto a scrap of black brocade card.....

Color Throwdown Challenge #181

Hello everyone. Today I have a card for the Color Throwdown Challenge. When I saw the colours this week I just loved them...they inspired me to make this card...
I completely embossed my card base, then added a punched mat and two co-ordinating mats to compliment the colours of my image. The stamp is by Heartfelt Creations. I stamped twice with black memento ink then coloured with PM's and decoupaged just the roses. I also coloured the little butterfly with PM's then added a couple of pearls. My stamped sentiment is by Anna Griffin.

Frame Card

Hello dear blogging friends. Hope you're all well.
First of all, I would like to say hello, and welcome to my new followers.
It's over a week since I last blogged anything.  I caught the flu, and felt quite ill. I had a very sore throat and because I already have a problem with my throat, it just made things much worse. I spent my birthday in bed.
Then, my dear husband decided to fit some new bedroom furniture, which completely disrupted my craft space and I couldn't get to my computer. So today is the first chance I've had to make anything.
Here is my card, which came about by accident. It's a frame card, and I'm quite pleased with the results...
To make this, you need a 4" square card, (10cm square). You also need a Martha Stewart punch around the page set...
Punch two 5" squares, (12.8cm squares). You then fix these onto the front and back of your card.  It's that easy!
To complete my card, I added an embossed frame to the front, and a cute digi image by Karen Middleton, which I purchased from Cuddly Buddly Crafts.  I printed the image onto a Spellbinder label, then coloured with PM's. Finally, I made a bow and button trim to co-ordinate.

Springtime...

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Well...not quite, yet, but I've made a start on my Spring/Easter cards.
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.
I haven't been doing much crafting this week. But yesterday afternoon and this morning, I got my crafting head into gear and made a couple of cards for a few challenges.
For my first card I used an image from Crafty Secrets, mounted onto a framework I made from a couple of different Spellbinder dies. I then matted the frame onto some deep lilac basil. I added a few tiny flowers coloured to match with PM's. My base card was embossed with a design objectives embossing folder.
My second card shape was cut on the Cameo. I added an embossed scallop border to the top and also embossed a label. I then cut out a digi image with a Spellbinders lacy circle die, and coloured with PM's. Finally I pricked around the bottom scallops, added a few pearls and tied a bow with seam binding, to which I added a flower coloured to match my image.

I would like to enter my cards in to the following challenges...

Card No.2 - CAS-ual Fridays - Use Ribbon
Card No.2 - LIM - Use Dies

In The Pink

Hello, my lovely blogging friends. Hope you're all well.
First of all...I would like to welcome my new followers:)
I haven't blogged for a week, although I have been visiting your blogs and checking out what you've been up to.
I lost a bit of my inspiration to craft, but thought it was time to pull my finger out and get on with it. So, today I have a card for a few challenges...

I cut my white base card on Cameo, and went around the edges with a pricking tool. Then, after embossing and distressing, I layered some Coredinations in spun sugar. On top of that the largest Spellbinder picot edge circle, to which I attached some pink heart trim, (from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop). I then added the final layer, which is a Spellbinder standard circle. The sentiment is one I've had for years, and I think it may be  Stampendous.  I stamped in silver pigment ink by ColorBox and applied Moon Glow Stardust Candy Rose embossing powder.  I hand crafted my rose, inked at the centre to give some shading and depth of colour. My bow is made with 16mm pink sheer ruffle edge ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

February Challenge - Anything Goes!

Good Monday morning lovely bloggers! Hope the snow and freezing weather didn't ruin your weekend.

It's time for another challenge at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and this month it was Sarah who set the challenge - Anything Goes!  So choose your favourite papers, dies, or anything you prefer and join in the fun with us.

My first creation is a heart shaped box with embellishments...
I cut the box on Cameo, and believe me it was not easy to assemble.  But I was pleased with the end result. The box bottom was cut in plain gold mirror card and the top is gold with a silver swirl design.  Unfortunately, the silver does not show too well.  I went around the top edge of  my box with beautiful 25mm Honey Beige Sheer Elegance Ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  I also used this for my double bow. My rose is a cut file from the lovely Birds blog here. I inked some 120gsm weight paper with Starburst Stains - Ramblin' Rose Pink, then cut out my rose. The leaves are edged with gold Rub'n Buff.

I also inked the edge of a small luggage tag with gold Rub'n Buff, then stamped Happy Birthday in gold Encore metallic ink. I added some gold curling wire and a tiny dragonfly cut from vellum, with Glamour Dust sprinkled on the wings.

My second creation is a quote card...
I quite like this one step card shape.  I layered two Spellbinder Fleur De Lis Squares.  On the top square I added a quote from one of the digi stamps by Raindrop Echo Designs. The bottom and edges of my card are embossed. I made my flower and bow with beautiful 38mm Red Silky Crush Ribbon and added some red dew drops. The ribbon and dew drops are from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

My team mates have some beautiful things to show you this month.  Do stop by and take a look.

DYSU Challenge #57 - Anything Goes & Guest Designer

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all well.  I can't believe that January came and went so quickly.  I sometimes wish that time could/would slow down a little.

I was thrilled to be invited as guest designer for challenge #57 over at DYSU, where the theme is - Anything Goes.  I was sent this sweet digi image to play with by the sponser - Stamp Fairy.  His name is Toby...isn't he sweet?
I coloured him with Pro Markers and paper pieced his tie.  The card shape was cut on Cameo. I layered some Nitwit  papers from the Easter/Spring range, along with Spellbinder picot edge and plain circle dies. My seam binding bow, button and twine are all from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
Be sure to stop by the DYSU challenge blog for a chance to win something sweet and see some fabulous inspiration by the design team.

St. Luke's February Challenge & Guest Designer

Hi everyone, today I am thrilled to share with you my card as a Guest Designer for the February challenge at St.  Luke's Charity Card Challenge.  I felt honoured when Tara asked me, and of course I said that I would love to join in the fun and design a card.

The theme this month is Love and Lace.  Amour is the word this month...make a romantic card for a wedding, anniversary or a birthday to the one you love.  Add some lace or  lacy embellishments for a romantic finish.

Here is my card...

I decided to make a one step card, to which I added some brocade vellum, white cotton crochet lace, a heart cut on Cameo, (embossed and glittered), some clear gems and finally a computer generated sentiment.

Why not pop over to the  St. Luke's Challenge Blog join in with the fun, and see the DT's gorgeous creations?  The prize this month is three lovely La Blanche stamps.
