I'll Be Back ASAP!

Good afternoon lovely bloggers. Hope you're all well.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my work.  I hope I haven't missed commenting on any of your wonderful creations over the past few days.  I've tried to catch up using my laptop but it keeps crashing so I've given up on it.
I had a nasty fall on Saturday, trying to carry too many shopping bags.  I fell down some stone steps, smashed my left knee, knocked up and grazed all my fingers, which are now very swollen, and grazed my chin.  I feel as if I've been hit by a truck - LOL! I have to rest for a few days, but I will be back ASAP.
Thank you for stopping by!
AND...Take care! xx

Birthday Card & Gift Box

Hi everyone!  What a weird day, weather wise, here in West Yorkshire. We've had sun, rain, hail, gale force winds, and now it's very dull and raining.  The forcast for the weekend isn't much better.
Today I've made a birthday card and gift box for the Card Caravan Challenge #6 over at The Hybrid Chick, where the theme this month is Birthday.

I printed designs from the Quirky Twerp - Sugar Blossom collection at the Digichick onto 300gsm cardstock.  I also used peach bassil for my card base, label, box top and butterfly wings. Roses were made using a cut file from the Digichick Boutique.  Butterflies and label are a Silhouette cut file. Box flap was made using a Martha Stewart punch. Ribbon and bling are from my stash, and the happy birthday stamp is by Anna Griffin.
Thank you for stopping by:)
Have a Great Weekend! x

Winter Kisses

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you're all well.  I can't believe that we're approaching December already.  Where as this year gone?
Today, every shape, including the card, was cut on my new Silhouette Cameo.  Vellum mat, and sentiment label were all from the same shape scaled down gradually.  The snowflake on the bottom left was designed by the lovely Bird who offers her fabulous cut files free.  The vellum is by Papermania.  Stamped sentiment was a freebie stamp from a magazine.  The gorgeous ribbon is 38mm Faux Silk Wrinkle in Ivory from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

I'm entering my card into the Charisma Cardz Challenge #46 - Snowflakes, and  Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Christmas Crackers
Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your day:)

Frosty Roses

Good afternoon lovely bloggers.  Hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend.  I haven't been doing much creating over the past few days.  I had a throat infection that turned into quincies, (abscess), and not very nice.  Anyhow, I got my act together today and parcelled up my cards for the St. Lukes charity Christmas Fayre, and then made this card for a friend to give to her friend...
I cut the card shape and a smaller second layer on the Silhouette Cameo, (my new toy), which is an early Christmas present from DH. I then embossed the second layer. Sentiment is computer generated onto a  Spellbinders labels twenty.  I cut some roses and leaves then frosted them with glamour dust.  My bow is 25mm Salmon Pink satin from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The pin is from my stash, to which I added some extra beads.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Let It Snow!! - Two Cards for St Lukes Charity Challenge

Hello lovely bloggers!  I'm late posting tonight, and because of the drab, dreary and miserable weather here in West Yorkshire today, my photo's didn't turn out too good.

I've made these cards for the St. Lukes Charity Card Challenge. The challenge is to make a Christmas card.  I need to get them off in the post this week, along with a few others I've made for such a wonderful charity.

For my first card I used several layers from the Spellbinder Fleur Di Lis set.  Before layering, I rubbed clear VersaMark all over them and then sprinkled Kaleidoscope EP by Stampendous, then heat embossed. I had to lie my cards flat to to take the photo's, to show the effect of the beautiful EP.  The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.
For my second card, I punched out lots of snowflakes and covered them with Glamour Dust, then arranged them at an angle across the card front.  This time, I used the largest die from the Spellbinder Ironwork Motifs set, (it makes a beautiful snowflake).  I did exactly the same technique with the EP as my first card.  For the center, I used a sentiment from Pink Petticoat, punched it out with a 2" circle punch, then went around the edge with Glamour Dust.

Have A Great Day! xx

Blue Birdies

Good morning lovely bloggers.  Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend.  It's supposed to be mild with quite a lot of sunshine...YAY!!
For my card today I used some light and dark blue roses I made a while ago. I saw the November challenge over at Sir Stampalot was to use blue and green. I used some pale green backing paper from the Prima - Romantique 6"x6" paper stack. I also die cut a small border from mid blue basil card stock, and added some pale green gems. My stamped image is by Crafty Individuals. I used shades of blue and green promarkers to colour the birds and inked the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink. The stamped sentiment is by Anna Griffin.

A Trio of Cards

Hi everyone!  It's misty, damp and dreary here in West Yorkshire today.  Only six weeks to the shortest day, and then we're on our way back to longer days.

I've been on a bit of a roll...I made a card last night and two today. They're all a bit different for me, but I enjoyed making them using different techniques.
Card No.1 - I embossed the whole base card background, then stamped Anna Griffin rose image with Tuxedo Black onto a Spellbinder labels twenty.  The rose is coloured with - Barn Door, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage distress inks.  Pearls and seam binding are from my stash.

Card No.2 - I made my own background by stamping an assortment of flourish patterns from Vintage Garden by Stempelglede, using Rusty Hinge distress ink. I then stamped the Anna Griffin sentiment onto a Spellbinder labels two with Chocolate Impress dye inkpad. I rubbed rusty hinge ink over some white card to make matching rolled roses then added some peach spotted organza ribbon.
Card No.3 - For this card I used an Anita's stamp that I've had for years and never used.  I stamped directly onto my card base with Tuxedo Black, then stamped again onto pink card for the flower and green card for the leaves.  I then paper pieced these onto my card. The sentiment is on the same stamp. Finally, I added a little pink twine bow.
Apologies for the long post, but I thought it was better than posting them all individually.
Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of today xx

Buttons & Bows - Challenge #4

Good morning everyone.  Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for another challenge.

It's challenge number four over at The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Blog, and this month Jane has chosen Buttons & Bows as the theme.  We would love you to join in with us, so why not play along and be in with a chance of winning  some fabulous goodies from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

Here is my contribution...

I used - Sky Blue 25mm large gingham check ribbon for my double bow, (which is beautiful to work with), 15mm Cornflower grosgrain ribbon for the central strip, one large and three small blue pearl buttons...all from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  Sentiment is from JustRite Stampers mounted onto a Spellbinders Parisian Accents die.  I also used a Martha Stewart punch and crochet edging from my stash.  I threaded crochet cotton through the buttons.

Now why not pop on over to the blog and see the fabulous creations by my team mates.

Thank you for stopping by xx

Vintage Christmas

Hi everyone hope you're all looking forward to an enjoyable weekend.  It's wet and windy right now in West Yorkshire.  The fireworks seem to have come to a halt.  They seem to go on for weeks around here.

My card today is for two challenges...'St Lukes Charity Cards Challenge', which is to make a Christmas card, and the 'ABC Christmas Challenge', where you have to make a vintage Christmas card.

For my base card I used Kraft card and inked the edges with white, then embossed with white EP.  I covered the base card with a paper design by 'Quirky Twerp' at the 'Hybrid Chick', my doily is a new range by Marianne, to which I added a satin bow made from 15mm red satin from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The glittered flower, mini postcard and gems are from my stash.  The greeting stamp is by WMS from the Say It Loud - Winter Holiday collection.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a Great Weekend! xx
