LIM Week 51 - Cut It Out

Hi bloggers!
At Less Is More this week Chrissie and Mandi have set the challenge for us to make a card with an aperture. I'm late entering mine, because I got aperture brain blockage, and lost my mojo.  Then, last night all the fuzziness in my head left, and I made TWO cards for the challenge!!

For my first card I cut an aperture with Spellbinders labels twenty.  On the piece I cut out, I stamped with JustRite Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty using ruby satin Colorbox pigment ink and clear embosiing powder, then inserted the label inside my card.  I cut a butterfly and leaves for the edge of the aperture.

For my second card, I dry embossed the front, then cut out my heart shape.  Once again I used the cut shape inside my card. I inked the edge of the heart with red chalk ink, coloured the bluebirds and heart with PM's and used a little glossy accents on the heart. I computer generated my own words.

Birthday Wishes

Hi lovely blogging friends. Hope you're all well.

Today my card is a mixture of stamping, embossing and die cuts...

I completely embossed the front of my card base.  Then added the seam binding wrap, bow and flower.  My flower was designed by the lovely Bird, who so generously gives away her fabulous cut files and digi designs here. I cut the flower and leaves on Cameo, then stamped a leaf print onto the leaves with Shabby Shutters DI. My stamp is Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty by JustRite stamps, stamped with sapphire blue colorbox ink, then cut out with labels twenty Spellbinder Die. I then added the sentiment, which is a digi by Bird.

I'm entering  my card into the following challenges...
Simon Says Stamp! - Anything Goes
Paper Play Challenge - Ribbon Every Which Way
My Mum's Craft Shop - Flowers

For My Valentine

Hi everyone.  Hope you've all enjoyed a lovely weekend. We've had very strong winds again, and they always seem to get worse during the night.

I recently bought the 6"x6" Romantique paper stack by Prima.  So, today I had a play with one of the lovely design sheets.

My base card is cream. I used one of the new Spellbinder edgeabilities on the bottom. I cut the top off the sheet and fussy cut around it before placing it back onto the card. My heart stamp is by Prima.  I stamped with cholcolate ink, then coloured with distress inks, (barn door, fired brick and shabby shutters), then used PM's to highlight and shade. Sentiment strip is by Pink Petticoat and I added some tiny hearts from Smitten by K&Co.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges Just Tracy's Challenge - Love is in the air and Wags 'n Whiskers - Valentine's/Love

A Little Bit Vintage

Hi everyone. It's been a few days since I last posted. I've been sorting out computer problems, and we've been looking around for a new bed.....which is a complete nightmare!! And you don't really know until you've actually spent a night on one, what the after effects are going to be - LOL!

Today my card isn't for any specific occasion, but it will come in handy for someone, eventually.  I'm entering this into the DYSU  challenge #55 - Use patterned paper...
My base card is Kraft. I then added a piece of patterned paper printed from the Crafty Secrets CD, and some ribbon lace from my stash.  The roses and leaves were cut on Cameo, and I added some gold stamen to the largest rose.  I used Gold Leaf - Rub 'n Buff over the Spellbinder label, then cut some cream card and matted that on top.  The sentiment is by Anna Griffin, stamped with chocolate Impress ink.

Purple Peony

Hello lovely bloggers!  Hope you're all well.
Today I have a card for the challenge over at Less Is More.  Chrissie and Mandi have challenged us to make a card using the colour 'Purple'.  For my card I chose a digi stamp of a peony, (which is my favourite flower), I used PM's to colour. The image is from Just Inklined.  I wasn't too sure if there were purple peonies, all mine are red and pink.  But when I googled I found quite a lot of different purple variteies. Finally, I mounted my image onto purple silk cardstock...

Wings with Bling!

Hi lovely bloggers! Today I have a card for three challenges...
Simon Says - New Something!
Card Caravan Challenge  #10 - Sparkle!
Let's Craft and Create Challenge #35 - Anything Goes
I used turquoise pearl card folded in half for my base, then added patterned paper from Crafty Secrets CD.  I got some new Spellbinders for Christmas, and I used those for my image and the edge of my embossed card.  I also got a new set of stamps by Artemio and I chose the dragonfly for my image. For the wings I used a sparkle paint, and then blinged the body, trail and decorative edge with deep tuquoise rhinestones.  Ribbon is from my stash.

Feeling Blue!!

Hi folks.  Well, the first week of 2012 went in the blink of an eye.

First of all, I would like to welcome, and thank,  my new followers during the past few weeks.

I don't know why, but I seem to be using a lot of blue on my cards of late.  Blue isn't one of my favourite colours, I tend to lean towards citrus.  Anyhow, here is another BLUE card...
I used a floral backing paper from the Crafty Secrets CD.  My image stamp is by K&Company, which I stamped and coloured with Pro Markers and then cut out and mounted onto a Spellbinders die. The 15mm saxe blue ribbon is from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, and sentiment is by HOTP.

I am entering my card into the following challenges...

Birds - MMM Week 30

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good day.  It's still very windy with lashing rain here.  We can see right across the Pennines and it doesn't look good...more gales forecast for tonight.

Today I've made a card to enter this weeks challenge over at Make My Monday and the theme is birds.

Here's my contribution...
I printed papers from the Crafty Secrets CD, and for my tiny pearls on the border I used a white pearl maker pen.  I used several dies from Spellbinder Ironworks collection and linked them together to form a holder for my image label.  The bird stamp is by Tim Holtz.  I created the sun and sky using distress inks and a small circle mask for the sun. Ribbon is from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, and sentiment is by HOTP.

January Challenge - Be My Valentine

Happy New Year Everyone!  Hope you've all recovered from any New Year celebrations and are ready for a brand new challenge at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
This month it was my lovely team mate, Peet who chose the challenge - Be My Valentine!  Why not join in with us? Just make something sweet for Valentine's day and pop on over to the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Blog to enter your creation and be in with a chance to win something pretty.

Here are my three creations...
Be My Valentine
I cut my base card from Kraft, then a smaller mat in red linen and an overlay flourish in gold mirror card.  I designed and cut these on my Cameo. For my gold roses I roughly drew three spirals on the reverse of some gold mirror card, then cut those out and rolled them.  The three red roses and pearl stems are from my stash.
The heart pin, and 15mm cream satin for my bow, are from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. My sentiment is from Tiny Sweetheart Sentiments by Pink Petticoat, and the label was cut from the Memory Box - Bistro Label die.
Valentine Tag
For my second project I used black brocade cardstock and a digital label with sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.  I coloured the tiny hearts on the sentiment label with a pro marker to match the ribbon. My ribbon bow is made with the beautiful 16mm fuschia ruffle edge ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. Bling hearts are from Smitten by K&Company.
 Valentine Card
This sweet little Valentine card was made using Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Picot Circle dies.  My bow was  made with 25mm red large check gingham, to which I added a heart button coloured with pro markers.  The ribbon, heart pin and Happy Valentine's Day stamp by Catslife Press are all available from Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

If you pop on over to the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Blog, you'll see some fabulous creations and inspiration from my team mates.

Thank you for stopping by xx
Have a Great Day and a Wonderful 2012!!
