Love Is Like A Butterfly

Hi all, hope you're all well.  The sun is shining here in West Yorkshire YAY!...I have done some laundry and it's drying nicely.  How sad am I?

For today's card, I used a butterfly stamp by K&Company.  It's in a set called 'Lotus Floral'...I've had these stamps for years and never used them. I coloured with Aqua Markers and then sprayed several layers of Spray and Shine to give an enamel effect. I formed the body from Fimo then added some liquid pearls and wire antenna.

All the embossing on my card was done with M-Bossabilities - 'So Trendy' folder. My frame and sentiment label are Spellbinders - Labels Twenty-Two and Fancy Tags Two.  The sentiment is by Flourishes 'Butterflies and Blossoms'.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges...

Craft Your Passion - Lots of Texture
Flutter By Wednesday - Sketch with a Butterfly
Flourishes 'Timeless Tuesday' - Bingo (Line Down - Bling, Die Cut, Emboss)

Botanical Bookplate - Bookmark

Hi all, hope you're enjoying your weekend.  And for those of you here in the UK...isn't this rain just too much? Although we have a lot of trees in our garden to soak it all up, my hubby had to go around and fork the lawn, as it was completely waterlogged.  I'm worried about our new laurel edge, as laurels don't like their roots standing in water.  Hope it dries up soon and we all get some sunshine.
Today I have bookmark created from the new Flourishes Botanical Bookplates Volume 1...available from Make the Day Special.
Apologies for the horrible photo's but it's so dark and dismal here today...
I used a cream embossed card base, then added some DP from my stash stamped and embossed white with embossing powder. I threaded some purple velvet ribbon through a piece of Madeira handcrafted lace, then attached it to the bottom of my bookmark.
Bookplate stamp was coloured with PM's then cut out and mounted onto another piece of cream embossed card. To embellish, I added a purple eyelet, velvet ribbon and butterfly charm, (charm from Pretty Little Ribbon Shop).

Timeless Tuesday - Let's Play Bingo!

Hi everyone.  Hope you're all doing okay.
Today I have a card for the 'Flourishes' - Timeless Tuesday challenge - Lets Play Bingo!  I love Flourishes stamps, and this is the first time I have entered one of their challenges.
The stamps I used are from the Cherry Blossoms set of stamps.  I know my choice of colours aren't those of cherry blossoms, but I rather liked the deeper pink and red against so much white.

To colour, I used distress inks...Spun Sugar, Barn Door, Fired Brick, Bundled Sage and Shabby Shutters, which I applied using a water brush. I also dotted some black and white acrylic paint for the stamen.
I completely embossed my base card with So Trendy by Spellbinders M-Bossabilities. My three layers are Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Two, and I added a few small white pearls for a bit of bling and to define the corners.  My ribbon is white 25mm sheer elegance from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

For my bingo I chose a line down...Bling - Die Cut - Emboss

CR84FN Color Challenge

Hi everyone!  My posts have been lacking again.  We have been having floorboards renewed in all of our bedrooms and the landing.  I haven't been able to get to my craft room, which has been a pain.  Anyhow, everything was put back again yesterday, so I managed to make a card today for the CR84FN Color Challenge.
Here is my card...

My card base is Kraft. I added a mat of white card which has been embossed using the faux letterpress technique. I used a Spellbinders label twenty for my focal point, I stamped this with a stamp from the Fleur De Lis set by JustRite stamps. I have used  Pearlescent Orchid ink by Brilliance on my background, label and roses. The flourish is the Tropical Flourish by Cheery Lynn designs.  I cut this and my butterfly from Kraft card and then stamped over them with white acrylic paint.

That's all for today folks.

First of all, I would like to thank and welcome my new followers.
I'm thrilled to have been chosen in the top three again at CR84FN with this card  here.

Today I have a birthday card for my lovely niece, Sophie.  She is very girlie and I thought this little dress suited her style so well.
The image is by Impression Obsession.  I coloured using water colours then added glossy accents for the buttons and to emphasise the flower spray on the dress. To embellish, I used Spellbinders Edgeabilities on white card stock and pink vellum, then added a pretty bow and a tiny flower button.

I used a pale turquoise silk card base, then added cream card that was die cut with Spellbinders Borderbilities. My stamp is by Impression Obsession. I coloured the image using a brilliance ink pad with a water brush, then added some tiny glossy accent buttons, and two tiny punched flowers.
I added a colour matched bow to the card front, along with the silver heart, punched tag and daisies.  Sentiment is by JustRite stamps. The15mm Aqua satin ribbon, and heart charm are both from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
My team mates have created some beautiful cards this month, so why not pop over to the Blog, and take a look. We would love you to join in with the challenge and have the chance of winning something pretty.
