Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #184

Good morning my dear blogging friends.  It's the 28th August our wedding anniversary, so I'm hoping to be whisked off for a lovely meal later today.
If you're in the UK, I hope you had a lovely bank holiday.  Not too good weather wise here, but we can't complain when some of the southern states in the US are preparing for another hurricane. I get stressed out if we have strong winds and gales. I feel really sorry for them, and pray they will stay safe.
How time flies! It's my last day as guest designer for the month of August at the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  Denise is our host, and she has asked us to create something using purple and blue as the main colours. So without further a do, here is my card...
My base card is made by joining two of the largest Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles together with a folded card at the back of the rectangle centres. My image is from the Flourishes 'Feminine Charm' set of stamps, as is the sentiment. I love this shoe stamp! I coloured with ProMarkers, added a little glamour dust and some coordinating bling.
I have really enjoyed my time as guest designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges.  I hope you liked the cards I created with the lovely sets of Flourishes stamps.
Please stop by the other designers and see their beautiful creations, and why not join in with the challenge, too.
Thank you for stopping by

Cheery Lynn Challenge

Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are all enjoying a lovely bank holiday weekend. It's been dull and raining most of today here, but the sun has just decided to peep out from behind the clouds.
I would also like to say hello and welcome to my new followers.
Today I have another card for the Cheery Lynn Challenge 42 - Doilies. I love doily dies, and this is a perfect challenge for another chance to use them.  Here is my card...
Onto my base card I added some DP from Pink Paislee - London Market. I then added the French Pastry doily die. I folded it in half and placed it across the top of my card. I added the following to my doily....A vellum leaf with Cheery Lynn Stacker Flower #1 - Leaf.  Two vellum rolled roses, edged with sapphire silk pigment ink. A fussy organza bow with two decorative pins, and a pearl flourish.

I stamped my sentiment onto a strip of cream card and added a few pearls. At the bottom of my card I added the Cheery Lynn Tropical Flourish die, and scattered a few pearls here and there.
Thank you for stopping by.  I'll be back on Tuesday with my final card as guest designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.
Whatever you plan to do, enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend.

For Someone Special

Hi all!  Hope you are all well.
I'm late with my post for today.  I saw a new challenge, (to me), at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 42 - Doilies.  You  have to use at least one Cheery Lynn doily die.  I have quite a few now, but just received my newest one today, which is Sophia's Heart.  I just had to have a play, and when I saw this challenge it spurred me on to make this card...
After cutting my doily, I mounted it onto a side folding card that was cut on my Cameo. I cut a circle and sponged with Spun Sugar distress ink, then stamped the sentiment with an Anna Griffin stamp. I made a paper rose and coloured with Picked Raspberry distress ink, my leaves were coloured with ProMarkers. I added these to a bow made with pink silky crush ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #183

Good morning dear blogging friends.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are all well.
How time flies!  It's my third week as guest designer at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. This week Makiko is our host, and she has asked us to create a card/project with a bug...butterfly, bee, spider! It can be any insect.
Of course I chose my favourite bug, which is a butterfly.  Here is my card...
I chose to use two sets of Flourishes stamps... 'Lenten Rose' and 'Butterflies and Blossoms'.  These are two of my favourite sets.

I stamped my Lenten roses onto a Spellbinders labels twenty-two, using the out of the box technique, then coloured with ProMarkers. I sponged the edges with Spun Sugar distress ink. I then stamped my butterfly onto another piece of card, coloured with ProMarkers and fussy cut it out. I added some pink gems to the body and made some pink wire antennae.
I added my completed design to an embossed label twenty-two, and then added these to my card base. To finish I tied a pink ribbon bow and added a gem to the centre.
Please stop by the FTTC design team blogs for some wonderful inspiration...and why not join in with us?

Because there is so much pink on my card, I would like to enter it into the following challenge...

In the Pink - Fifty Shades of Pink

Christmas Wishes!....

No! not literally...I just made my first Christmas card.  Although I never usually start so early, I wanted to create something with my newest embossing folder from Sizzix.
Hello and a warm welcome to my new followers!
I hope all my lovely blogging friends are enjoying some fabulous sunshine!  Unfortunately, living so near to the Pennines we tend to get quite a lot of rain, and today is no exception. Dull skies, and drizzle, hence the poor photo. It is very humid though. It is good weather to be indoors crafting, and here is my first Christmas card...
I used Sizzix 'Winter Botanicals' set which has one large and three smaller embossing folders. The largest folder is quite large, my card is 5" x 7" (approx 130 x 180 mm).  I embossed and cut out one of the smaller poinsettias, glittered and placed it on top of the larger design to give some definition.
I tied a double bow using 25mm sheer elegance ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, to which I added a red glitter brad and computer generated sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by.  I will be back on Tuesday with a card for my third week as guest designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Timeless Tuesday - Use Kraft

Good morning dear blogging friends.  Thank you for stopping by...I hope you are all well.
It's my second week as guest designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge...how time flies!
This week the very talented Cindy hosts the challenge, and she has asked us to create something using Kraft paper/card.  So without further a do, here is the card I made...
The base of my card is cream.  For my second layer, I fussy cut a piece of kraft card. Third layer is cream, cut with the largest Spellbinders Floral Oval die, fourth layer Kraft, and finally my top layer of cream.  Onto this I stamped flowers from Flourishes - Flowers and Frames and Summer Blossoms stamp sets. My sentiment is from the Flowers and Frames set, and my butterfly from Butterflies and Blossoms set.
I stamped my images using Memento - Rich Cocoa, then coloured with ProMarkers. I stamped my butterfly onto a separate piece of card, coloured with PM's added a little glitter, then fussy cut it out and adhered it with pop dots to give some dimension. Finally I added a double bow using lilac organza ribbon from my stash.

Please visit the FTTC design team blogs for some fabulous inspiration...and why not join in with the challenge?

Fragrant Blooms

Hi all, thank you for stopping by. I hope you're all enjoying a lovely weekend.
First of all I would like thank and welcome my new followers.
Today I have a card for the JustRite Friday Challenge #79 - 'Opposites Attract'...
For this challenge there is a colour wheel and you have to go with colours that are opposite one another. I went for the orange/green opposites.
I used the JustRite - 'Seeds of Summer' stamp set. I stamped the marigolds and coloured them with ProMarkers. I then stamped the label and sentiment from the same set of stamps. To finish, I fussy cut around my flowers and added them to a Cheery Lynn - French Pastry doily die. Finally, I added a double bow using orange organza ribbon.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - It's Sketchy Challenge

Hello lovely blogging friends, thank you for stopping by again.
I am thrilled to be the guest designer for  Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge during the month of August. I feel so privileged, to work alongside such talented ladies.
This weeks hostess is the very talented, Heather, who has asked us to create something with a 'Thankful' theme, and to follow the sketch below...
For my card I chose the beautiful 'With Gratitude' set of stamps.

I love this set, the flowers are so pretty and easy to colour.  I also love the many ways of saying 'ThankYou' with the sweet sentiments stamps.
I stamped my flowers onto an oval cut from white card stock, then coloured with PM's.  I then used pop dots to give some dimension and added my image onto one of the Floral Ovals dies.
To complete my card, I added some patterned papers, a ribbon band, and a sequin strip. I also cut two coordinating pieces of card into tails, then layered them on top of one another.  I then stamped the sentiment, which is also from the 'With Gratitude' set.  Then I finally added my oval with image.

Thank you for stopping by, and please visit the FTTC team for some wonderful inspiration!

Bring on the Bling!!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
Today is the first Monday of the month, so time for another challenge at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
Sarah hosts this months challenge, and she has asked us to use some bling.  It's as easy as that...use as little or as much as you like.  Just bling it up!!
Here is my card...
I embossed my card base with a Sizzix embossing folder. I then cut three labels from Spellbinders labels twenty-eight and layered them using silicone glue, to give some dimension.  On the smallest die I stamped the lovely sentiment from the JustRite 'Seeds of Summer' stamp set.

Across the bottom of my card, I added  Ivory Sheer Roses Ribbon.  I tied a single bow from White Wrinkle Silk Ribbon, then cut out one of the ribbon roses and added that to the centre. Then a bit of subtle bling! Pink rhinestones added to the centres of my roses.

Do visit the blog and take a look at my team mates beautiful creations...then, why not join in with us for the chance to win something pretty!

Flourishes Beautiful World Tour

Good morning everyone! If you visited yesterday you will already know how excited I am to be joining the 'Flourishes Beautiful World Tour' team, working with some very talented, lovely ladies from around the world.
Each month you can travel the globe with us. We are represented by Australia, United States, Canada, Finland, Germany and England. Each month one of the team will be hosting the hop on the Flourishes blog. To start us off this month...it's the lovely Kathy from Austrailia.
So.....what does this mean for YOU??  Instead of this being a challenge, all we ask is that you do a litttle globe trotting, and stamp our passports, (leave us a comment), and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!!  Yes, that's right, just leave a comment for the chance to win. The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this weeks vacation spot, (chosen blog), so you will need to leave a comment on each one by AUGUST 31st for a chance to win.
If you've jetted in from beautiful Canada, from Meredith's Blog then you're at the right destination.  If you haven't, perhaps you would like to start your journey back in Florida, at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way.
Our theme this month is to be inspired by a song. My song choice is 'The Rose' by Bette Midler. The words are just so beautiful, and for my card I chose to use the beautiful 'Lenten Rose' set of stamps...
I embossed my card base and then stamped my image onto a Labels Twenty Two Nestability.  I then framed my image with another label. I coloured with PM's and then stamped my sentiment from  'Botanical Bookplates'. To finish I stamped a butterfly from 'Butterflies and Blossoms' onto a seperate piece of card, cut it out and popped it up to give some dimension.
I hope you've enjoyed your visit to England...the next stop on your Beautiful World Tour is Australia and Iwona's blog
Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy your travels! x
