Flowers for a Friend

Hello everyone! And a warm welcome to my new followers.
Just a reminder that there is a sale on at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop  with lots of lovely bargains.
Hope you all had a great Christmas!! Ours wasn't a happy one, I was ill and we had some very bad news about a very tragic event that I cannot discuss right now.  It effected my will to create, hence my lack of posting...but life must go on, and so yesterday, I managed to muster up some mojo and I created a bright and cheerful card and a small gift box for a friends birthday...
I used Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals for my card. I layered and embossed with Spellbinders M-Bossabilities 'Venetian' folder.  I then added the very pretty 'Apothecary' label from Stampin Up, which I coloured with PM's.  My pretty flowers and ribbon are from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  They were white and I coloured them with PM's to match my card.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and lovely comments throughout this year, and to wish you all...
A Very Healthy and Happy New Year!!

Bauble and Bling!

Hello everyone, and a warm welcome to my latest followers.  Hope you are all doing well in the run up to Christmas.
I'm really busy with one thing and another. Quite a few commissions to complete within the next couple of weeks...Yikes!! I'm in a bit of a panic mode right now, as I still haven't been given full details/instructions for some of the cards.  People seem to be under the impression that I am both psychic and that it only takes minutes to make their card.....I wish!
Today I have a card that I completed a couple of weeks back, but hadn't got around to sharing.  It has quite a lot of triple embossing and bling! Sorry for the poor photo quality, but the sun is very low in the sky and I just couldn't get a decent shot, the embossing and bling look lovely, but in my photo's they look quite dull...
The bauble stamp and sentiment are both from JustRite 'Merry and Bright' set of stamps. I stamped and embossed the bauble and sentiment in gold, and then coloured with Sakura glimmer pens. I cut some Spellbinders dies from the 'Ironworks' set and triple embossed them in gold.  I then used them to decorate my bauble and I also made a border.  I added some bling to everything!  The ribbon for my bow, and my flower are from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - December Challenge - It's Christmas!

Please scroll down for my December Flourishes Beautiful World Tour Challenge card.

Good morning everyone. Wow! December already...Yikes!!
This month at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop our challenge is to make a card or project with the theme of Christmas.
So, without further a do - Here are my two cards...
For my first card I embossed the background with Spellbinders 'Garden Lattice' M-Bossabilities. I then added one of the Spellbinder 'Holly Motif'  dies to which I added some glamour dust.
I then added two glittered Magnolia Snowflake dies, and another snowflake cut on my Cameo.  To this I added a metal snowflake and pearl from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. I printed a digi sentiment from Pink Petticoat onto a Spellbinders 'Fancy Framed Tag' and added some pearls. Finally, I added my bow made from 15mm Silver Lame ribbon from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
For my second card I completely embossed the base and then added the Cheery Lynn French Pastry doily.  My sentiment was computer generated onto one of the Spellbinder 'Splendid Circle' dies.
I added some Magnolia Mistletoe die cuts, which I inked, then added some pearls. Finally, I added my ribbon bow made from 15mm Hunter's Green Gingham ribbon.

Why not join in with us this month for the chance to win something pretty. Also, do pop over to the blog and take a look at the fabulous creations by my team mates.

Flourishes - December Beautiful World Tour - Add Some Shine!

Hello everyone! We have another fabulous Beautiful World Tour for you this month.  Our hostess is Naomi, and she has challenge the Beautiful World Team to...Shine!!
It's time to travel the world and see how each designer chose how to add some shine to their Flourishes stamped creations.
As always, you will need to leave a comment on each designers blog by 31st December to be in with a chance of winning a FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!!
If you arrived here from Kathy's blog in Australia then you're at the right destination.
Here is my creation...
I decided to make a festive wall hanger, which could also be used as a large gift tag.
First, I cut two ovals with one of the Spellbinders 'Grand Decorative Ovals'. Onto one of the ovals I stamped 'Happy Holidays' from the 'Naturally Merry' stamp set.  I then stamped three poinsettias from the beautiful 'Poinsettia and Pine' set. I coloured my poinsettias and foliage with ProMarkers, then cut them out and layered them on top of one another. To add some 'shine', I covered my berries, holly leaves and poinsettia stamen with glossy accents.  I then added three red glass dewdrops to the bottom of my design.
To complete, I added some glitter to my poinsettia leaves and snow accents to my pine branches.
I then glued both ovals together and inserted my ribbon and bow hanger between them. Finally, I tied two silver bells to my bow.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope you enjoyed your Beautiful World Tour.

Floral Birthday

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all safe and well.  My heart goes out to anyone who may be suffering this terrible weather, and flooding.  I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to have your precious home flooded and the trauma that goes with it.
I would like to say hello and welcome to my new followers.
Today I have a card for a friend who will be celebrating her birthday.  I wanted to embellish it with some of the beautiful flowers from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop...
I embossed my base card then dusted with Peach Glimmer Chalk. I then added two layers of paper from the Prima 'Rondelle' paper stack. I cut two flourishes from Spellbinders 'Venetian Motifs' then added my flowers, seam binding bow, pearl pins and pearls, all from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  Sentiment is by Anna Griffin.
The daisies and rosebuds were white, but I dusted over them with peach glimmer chalk to add colour.  I finally added some foliage, punched from white card and coloured with PM's.

Sorry I've Been MIA

Hello everyone! Hope you are all fit and well :)
I know, it's been quite some time since my last post.  Today is the first time I  have ventured into blogland since before our holiday, so I must apologise for not visiting you.
Unfortunately, I was ill before and during our holiday, and I'm still not feeling well.  I left with an abscess behind my upper bridge, the infection has now spread to my ear and throat, so I've been in quite a lot of pain, and not really felt like doing much.
I will try to get around to visiting you over this weekend. And I will be back on Monday with my DT posts.
Lots of love,
Sasha xx

Tilda With A Big Bouquet

Hi dear blogging friends, hope you are all well.
This will be my last post for a couple of weeks.  We are taking a break at our retreat in Madeira...so please don't think I'm ignoring you.  I will be back by November.
Here is my first ever Tilda card.....so please be gentle with me, as I know there are some wonderful Tilda experts out there, and my colouring doesn't compare!!  But I saw this new image and I just couldn't resist it...
I coloured with ProMarkers and added some textured glitter snow to the fur around her hat and coat. I used three layers of Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Two, and embossed the bottom layer. I finished off with a poinsettia die to which I added some gold stamen and diamond sparkles.
I'll visit you all when I get back...if I get the chance, I will try and visit you while we're away.

White on White Christmas

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all well and looking forward to a great weekend!
First of all...I would like to welcome my newest followers.
I've been busy making personalised commissions all week, but I needed a break as they are all A4 size, and I find them hard to work with.
Today I have two easy white on white Christmas cards which I made last week.
My first one was created with a Sizzix embossing folder, Spellbinders and Magnolia dies...
I used Glamour Dust to glitter my poinsettia and added gold stamen.  I also went over the embossing with a glue pen and Glamour Dust. My card is quite sparkly, but due to the lack of sunlight, it doesn't show up too well.
My second card was also created with Spellbinder and Magnolia dies.  This time I used white pearl card throughout, and added pearl stamen to my Poinsettia. I stamped Noel with a Waltzing Mouse stamp from the 'Say It Loud Winter Holiday' collection. I then embossed with gold EP. To finish I added three pearls.
I would like to enter my second card into the Waltzingmouse Challenge #117

Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Challenge - Autumn Colours

(Please Scroll Down For My Flourishes Challenge Post!)

Good morning lovely bloggers!  It's the first Monday of the month and time for another challenge at the  Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.  This month Jane is our hostess, and she has asked us to create something using autumn colours.
I used my Cameo to cut my base card shape and layers. I ran my base card through an eight inch square embossing folder. The second layer was coloured with Spiced Marmalade distress ink, third layer was embossed, and top layer was coloured with Mustard Seed distress ink.
I stamped Happy Birthday with an Anita's stamp I have had for years.
For my autumn spray, I made three ribbon flowers using Antique Gold sheer ruffle edge ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. I added some gold stamen to the centres. You can find instructions on how I made the flowers here. The foliage was cut with the Tim Holtz Autumn Gatherings decorative strip die. I coloured all the elements with distress inks.
Why not join in with our challenge for the chance to win something pretty.

Autumn Flowers

Hi all! And a warm welcome to my new followers.
I haven't been able to take any photo's for over a week, as I dropped my SLR camera and it had to go away for repairs. And now we have terrible dark weather conditions.  So my photo today is not brilliant.
I have made a card for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #188. The challenge is a 'Fall Theme'. So I made my card to reflect the lovely fall flowers that are around just now...
For my card, I used Flourishes - 'Garden Picks' set of stamps, which includes the lovely jar stamp and three different flower sprays. I also used Kraft-Core nostalgic collection for my base card, along with some ribbed Kraft card and cream watercolour card. The dies I used are Spellbinders labels twenty-eight. My image was coloured with ProMarkers.  I completed my card with a die cut flower spray.  I coloured the flower and leaves with distress inks and I added some gold stamen to the centre of my flower. Finally my red seam binding bow and a pearl brad from my stash.

Charm Me!

Hi all! Today I have a card for the JustRite Friday Challenge #81 - "Charm Me". You have to make a card, or project to include a charm.  I made my charm from clear shrink plastic.  Here is my card...
For my base card I used Boho Chic papers and did some faux stitching with a pricking tool and a jellyroll pen. I then added some seam binding with a row of bling and attached a double bow.
My label is from JustRite - "Your Special Day Medallion Labels"..... as is the sentiment. I cut and layered the label, stamping with colours to coordinate with my papers and seam binding.
Finally, my charm. I stamped a butterfly onto some clear shrink plastic.  This was from the JustRite - "Botanical Butterflies" set. I stamped with the same colours as the ones on my label.

A Little Shimmer

Hi all. Hope you have enjoyed a lovely weekend. It's been quite dark here all day.  No matter how I tried I just couldn't get a good photo without the flash cutting in on my camera, and I prefer natural light.  Anyhow, here is my card for today...
My image is from the Flourishes - 'With Gratitude' set of stamps. I coloured my flowers with ProMarkers and then chalked over them with lavender shimmer chalk.  I used my new set of Spellbinders decorative labels eight, then cut them down to fit my image by cutting across the centres and carefully joining them back together.  I managed to cover the join with my ribbon.

I hope my card is pink enough to enter the challenge at In the Pink Challenge #3 which is anything but square.
